Thanks for visiting! My name is Matt Kenney. I am a Software Engineer at Amazon, based in Seattle WA. Formerlly, I attended Dartmouth College, majoring in Computer Science and Neuroscience. In the past, I’ve interned as a software engineer for Amazon, as a Product Manager for Pegasystems, and as Bioinformatician for Cell Signaling Technology, I’ve conducted research for pathology and microbiology labs, cofounded a specialty cold brew company, chaired Dartmouth’s Student Leadership Board for the Magnsuon Center for Entrepreneurship, and have delved into numerous projects on my own time.
As a technologist, my interests lie in:
Data Analytics, DevOps and Cloud, Infrastructure as Code (IoC), Machine Learning, Bioinformatics / Computational Biology, Applications of Biology to Computer Science (i.e. things like this)
In my free time, I love:
Watching and reading about all things basketball (and nerding out on stats), skiing and exploring the backcountry, coffee (drinking it, learning about it, making coffee, and buying lots of coffee gadgets I probably don’t need), playing tennis, listening to music (Vampire Weekend, Daft Punk, Postal Service, Fiona Apple, Vince Staples, etc.), listening to and reading neuroscience news, and learning innumerous fun science facts to tell my friends (they kindly pretend to be interested :) ).
This page is a bit out of date, but it covers a lot of the cool things I worked on pre-2020! Open a page below to learn more.
